BEIJING, April 26 (Xinhua/Ni Yi) This year's "May Day" holiday, the demand of people travel and visiting friends & relatives revive, air tickets, tickets, hotels and other bookings have exceeded the same period in 2019, the national passenger flow will reach 250 million, the country's road traffic will appear holiday travel peak.The traffic management bureau of the Ministry of Public Security issued a traffic safety warning on the 26th.

According to the judgment of the Ministry of Public Security, the road traffic pressure in popular tourist cities and key scenic spots has doubled, and the relatively unfamiliar road conditions have led to the concentration of traffic safety risks.By the end of March this year, the number of private cars in China had reached 229 million, and the number of long-distance self-drive trips during holidays has increased significantly, posing serious risks. In the past three years, private cars accounted for nearly 60 percent of the major accidents during the May Day holiday.

The Ministry of Public Security reminds drivers and holiday travelers that they should pay attention to the traffic information and traffic safety tips released by the local public security traffic control department, arrange the travel time and route in advance, and avoid driving after drinking and driving without a license.When going through the rural road, in a sharp bend steep slope, long downhill, water cliff section, to slow down.Carefully observe the situation on both sides of the road, in case of emergency to take measures in time.
